Every year the design and planning world looks forward to the announcement of the Pantone of the Year.
What is a Pantone you ask?
Pantone states that the Color of the Year is actually “…a color snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude.” This inspiration comes from the fashion world foremost and we see it trickle down to every aspect in the design world.
In January, the 2018 colour was revealed to be ULTRA VIOLET – “a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future”
It just so happened that our first wedding of the season was this exact colour, setting us up to be completely on point for the upcoming season!
Take a look how Angela and Michael’s Pantone inspired wedding unfolded…
We love the combo of the pale lavender bridesmaids dresses paired with brighter purple and violet flowers!
Our design inspiration starts with a high level overview!
When designing the florals Erin put together a inspiration board with flowers that best represent the couples vision:
And it all turns out looking like this!
And they lived happily ever after!
